My dissertation develops a normative theory of victimhood, arguing that recognizing one's status as a victim can serve as a valuable political resource. I propose ethical responsibilities for both victims of oppression and non-victims, offering guidance on how to approach victimhood to foster a more constructive politics of victimhood. An article from this project is forthcoming in the European Journal of Political Theory. My research has been supported by the Duke Kenan Institute for Ethics and the Kwanjeong Educational Foundation.
